What you need to be a carer
To deliver safe, high-quality care at Wellness Care UK, applicants must be confident and competent in carrying out the following tasks as part of their role:
Mandatory
Personal care and hygiene assistance
Providing respectful assistance with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene while preserving dignity and privacy.
Accurate Care Documentation
Accurate Care Documentation Completing daily records clearly and correctly, including notes on wellbeing, routines, medication, and any changes observed.
Household & Daily Living Support
Assisting with light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
Safeguarding Awareness
Recognising signs of abuse, neglect, or risk and following safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable adults at all times.
Basic First Aid
Responding calmly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies until further help is available.
Optional
Medication Assistance & Recording
Supporting clients with medication in line with care plans, including prompting, assisting where appropriate, and accurately documenting medication taken.
Mobility & Safe Moving
Supporting individuals to move safely around their home, including assistance with walking, transfers, getting in and out of bed or chairs, and fall-prevention awareness.
